Richland is a town in Blakeney. It is situated halfway the expressway between Orange City and Bridge City. It is a relatively new town built in the 1970s. It has about 3,300 inhabitants. It consists of two separate housing estates built around a small village core founded in 1931.
There is a elementary school in the town. Most people in the town work in the industrial or the services sector and many commute to the city of Blakeney.
