Watt Springs is a village in the northern part of Highroyds. As its name suggests, there are a couple of hot springs nearby. Originally founded as a lumberjack camp by the brothers Watt, the land was quickly acquired in 1920 by the government to create a spa. Nowadays the spa is closed, but the Springs are still open for the public.
The village was devastated by a fire in the 1950s but completely rebuild.
